Stephen is a partner at Shapray Cramer Fitterman Lamer LLP, a prominent litigation boutique, where he conducts a wide-ranging practice encompassing commercial business disputes, employment law, securities and regulatory disputes, and corporate governance matters. Between undergraduate studies pursued at Reed College (Portland) and obtaining his J.D. from the University of Toronto Law School, he was a Special Assistant to the Solicitor General of Canada (Ottawa).
Stephen spent his initial years of law practice in Toronto, where he served on the Board of the Canadian Opera Company and the Art Gallery of York University. After returning to his home town of Vancouver, Stephen joined the board of the Vancouver Recital Society, which he also chaired for a three-year term. He is an advocate and supporter of the arts community and regularly provides advice and assistance to artists and gallerists.
