Can I cancel or exchange my tickets?

All Single Ticket sales are final, and there are no refunds.

Exchanges are permitted on subscription tickets only.
Exchanges cannot be made if your ticketed performance has already passed. If you are unable to attend any performance, Subscribers may donate their tickets to Ballet BC and will receive a charitable tax receipt if the tickets are received by Audience Services 48 hours prior to the performance. Ticket donations or exchanges cannot be made after the performance.

How do I exchange my Subscription ticket?

One of the many benefits of being a Ballet BC subscriber is that you may change the evening of your performance. Contact Audience Services at least 3 days prior to your scheduled performance, subject to availability.

What do I need to know to pick up tickets at Will Call?

When picking up tickets at the Will Call window at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Box Office you will be required to present a government-issued photo ID, the credit card you used to make your purchase and the confirmation number you were given when you placed your order. It is recommended that you arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the performance. The Box Office opens 2 hours prior to the performance. The doors into the main lobby open 75 minutes prior to curtain time.

Are all Ballet BC main stage performances in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre?

Yes — the theatre is located at 630 Hamilton Street (at Georgia) in Vancouver.

Are there any pre-performance or post-show activities?

Yes, we hold Pre-Performance Chats in the theatre Mezzanine at 7:00pm before every Ballet BC performance. These informal chats feature guest moderators in conversation with dancers, choreographers, composers or conductors. Post-show, the audience is invited to join the company for refreshments at the cash bar in the Mezzanine Lobby.

Are rush tickets available?

Yes, a limited number of rush tickets may be available to purchase on the day of the performance, subject to availability. Rush Tickets are not offered for Nutcracker. Rush Tickets are $25 (plus. GST and service charges). Rush tickets may not be available to book for all performances and are limited to two tickets per person. Rush tickets can be purchased online and in-person at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, available from 6:30-7:30pm only. Offer codes will be communicated via social media for online sales. What happens if I’m running late to the performance?

In the interest of all patrons and performers, latecomers will not be seated once the performance begins and must wait until a suitable break, which will likely be during the intermission. Monitors are provided in the lobby. Patrons who leave during a performance will not be allowed to re-enter the theatre until a suitable break.

Is parking available at the theatre?

Parking is available at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre parkade, beneath the theatre. Enter off Cambie Street between West Georgia and Dunsmuir streets.

Parking is limited, so arrive early!

Patrons with valid Disabled Decals may reserve parking, as available, by calling 604.665.2193 weekdays at least 24 hours in advance of the performance. Please have your decal number and ticket information ready. An elevator operates from both floors of the parkade to the Plaza Level on Hamilton Street. The QET Parking Lot takes cash only.

Are children allowed at Ballet BC performances?

Children are welcome at all Ballet BC performances! The performances are two hours in length with one 20 minute intermission. Please be mindful of this, as patrons who leave during a performance will not be allowed to re-enter the theatre until a suitable break.
With the exception of The Nutcracker, there is no discount for children (12 and under).
PLEASE NOTE: Children 2 and under qualify for a free ticket through Ballet BC's Audience Services, however they must be seated on a parent’s lap.

What about accessibility at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre?

There is wheelchair seating on both the Orchestra and Mezzanine levels with special ‘Equal Access’ seating which provides wheelchair spaces adjacent to regular theatre seats. For those who would rather not use the stairs, an elevator next to the main entrance operates between the Main Lobby, the Mezzanine Level and the Upper Balcony.

For those requiring hearing assistance, complimentary receivers for the Sennheiser Infrared Transmission System are available at no charge at the Lobby Coat Check. Quantities are limited. A valid driver’s licence or credit card is required.

Binoculars may be rented at the Main Lobby Coat Check.

Do attendants / companions need a ticket and if yes, do they get any sort of discount?

Everyone must have a valid ticket, including attendants/companions of persons with disabilities. There are no special discounts available for attendants.

Can I take photos?

Photography, video, and audio recording is strictly prohibited during the performance.

How can I avoid fraudulent tickets?

Although buying tickets online is quite safe these days, we recommend taking the following precautions to ensure you are safe from fraud:

? Buy your tickets from official sources only: directly through Ballet BC or our official sales platform, Ticketmaster to make sure your tickets will be authentic.

? Some nefarious brokers create websites to look exactly like the box office and the URL can be so similar to the official sites that they make you feel like you are purchasing directly from the source. The best practice is to manually type the address of the site you wish to purchase from (e.g. www.www.polodupacky.com or www.ticketmaster.ca)

? Do not post pictures of your ticket on social media; information on your ticket may be stolen this way.
